Universitas Andalas provides 168 shared lecture rooms (lecture halls, classrooms, project rooms). These lecture rooms are offered for 15 faculties and one diploma. There are 3 types of lecture rooms; small lecture rooms with a maximum capacity of 40 students, huge classroom with 40-60 students capacity, and lecture theatre rooms that may facilitate over one hundred students. Each building is devoted to lecturing (i.e. building A-I). Many buildings (i.e. Building I, E, F) are equipped with advanced equipment for seminar rooms that are typically used for events like seminars, workshops, and others.

Every classroom is equipped with standardized facilities to support teaching and learning activities which are; chair, whiteboard, LCD projector, air conditioners and/or fan (in a part of the rooms). The mobility of the civitas academia between buildings is connected by corridors. It covers them from bad weather while they walking into lecture rooms. Green environment and open space surround the buildings which provide good fresh air circulation and natural lightweight. In free time, students could gather at gazebos between buildings to discuss academic and non-academic matters. This activity would help to foster students’ social skill.

The university commitment to accommodate students and staffs with special needs proven by installing supporting facilities such as disabled parking area around campus. If there are any newcomers students registered to university with a disability, standard procedures will be implemented. This is to ensure inclusive education for all people within the community.
