Contract-based lecturers or employees are recruited based on the Rector Regulation No. 12/2016. Legislative requirements to be appointed as a Non-PNS employee at Universitas Andalas:
a. Have qualifications and education levels that suit the needs of the work unit.
b. The level of education for the field of duty refers to article 5 as needed*
c. Age as low as 20 years and as high as 35 years at first appointment, except those received after retirement as civil servants.
d. Physically and mentally healthy, as evidenced by a doctor's certificate
e. Be of good character and have never been involved in a criminal case as evidenced by a certificate of ethical conduct from the National Police
f. Not being domiciled as CPNS / PNS or employees / honorary staff / permanent employees in government or private agencies and will not demand to be appointed as a civil servant as evidenced by a stamped statement.
Non-PNS personnel, according to the field of duty referred to in this decision include:
- Administration staff
- Technician/laboratory assistant
- Archivist/librarian
- Security guard
- Driver
- Medical and paramedical staff
- Lecturer staff
*PNS = Civil Servant
